Hi everyone! We had an awesome Valentine’s Day this year! Thanks to all of my great customers who placed an order with us. I have often been asked “What is the difference between buying flowers from you, and ordering some online thru FTD, ProFlowers, 1-800-Flowers, Teleflora, or one of the other flower companies?” The quick simple answer is that these companies are not really florists, but order taking operations. They often use local florists who are a part of their network to fill the orders anyway, so the small business owner loses nearly all of their profit fufilling the order for the company. This type of business kills locally owned shops, sending profits to huge corporations who offer non-personalized service; and who may not even be located in this country!
